Description

This project is a follow-up to the previous project Seniordans and Sittedans. It uses the acquired knowledge and skills to create the methodology of Czech dances, that is to say, adapts the Sittedans system to Czech social and cultural conditions. A specific output is a methodological document. Last but not least, it aims to continue the established cooperation. We expect that this exchange of experiences, practices and methods will, among other things, raise awareness of the various European cultural, social and economic environments and to better understand the common interest in social services and senior activities. It will thus contribute to reducing economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area
The main objective of the project is to promote synergies between education and training of our school pupil. It therefore affects both target groups - pupils and target groups - educators. The project will provide the target audience with knowledge of innovative techniques that will benefit them in their future professional lives. The project provides teachers with a mechanism for passing this information on to pupils. Both target groups will develop competencies, increase the level of human capital, the educational base and increase the competitiveness of the labour market.
One of the important outputs of the project is the continuation of the partnership with the Norwegian organization, which is able to provide up-to-date know-how and examples of good client activation practices.

Summary of project results

The project was created on the basis of the needs of Církevní střední zdravotnická škola - to teach students new work techniques, to modernize the curriculum, and to enable a better position of graduates on the labor market.
The project supported the synergy between education and training and affected both pupils and teachers. Our students learned innovative techniques, whereas teachers acquired mechanism for passing on this information to students.
We conducted a questionnaire survey to obtain answers from qualified experts to questions concerning the compilation of methodological material so that it best meets the needs of sitting dance instruction. Based on its evaluation, specific content topics were determined.
We completed the Methodology of Sitting Dance based on motifs of Czech folk songs. The introduction to the Methodology provides basic information on activation as such. The core of the publications is methodological information on individual areas (requirements for the lecturer, environment, teaching unit, etc.). In the end, there are methodical choreographies of sitting dance based on motifs of Czech folk songs – Kdyby byla Morava, Červený šátečku, Vyletěla holubička, Kdyby byl Bavorov, Pásla ovečky. Also, we produced an educational video to make it easier to understand and grasp the methodology. The 45-minute footage contains a summary of basic methodological information and all 5 dance choreographies.
The project result has positive impact not only on pupils and teachers, but also on seniors, to whom this activation technique can improve their existence.

Summary of bilateral results

This exchange of experiences, practices and methods has raised awareness of different socio-economic environments. A very important factor for the selection of the project partner was the fact that Seniordans is a world leader in the field of social activation dance technology. The Norwegian organization shared quality know-how and examples of good practice in activating clients.Without partnership, it would not be possible to provide relevant sources of practical information for the development of the methodology. The sitting dance techniques were integrated into teaching thanks to the project. The main result of bilateral cooperation was the strengthening of relations between partner organizations through mutual communication, sharing methodologies and outputs. The relationships we have set up during the project are very supportive, warm, and ready for any future activities.
