Description
The Sighetu-Marmatiei Municipal Hospital is one of the most relevant public blocks of buildings in the local community. The Sighetu-Marmatiei Public Hospital has a total capacity of 750 beds, being served by 900 people. The hospital is also the largest public energy user in the local community. The heating of the hospital sections are centralized, from the hospital thermal station, equipped with 2 hot water boilers which were installed more than 15 years ago.
The main aim of the project is to undertake an energy audit for 4 public buildings belonging to Sighetu-Marmatiei, in order to prepare the implementation of an optimized package of solutions. The proposed energy audit will evaluate the district heating system in the hospital campus and the thermal boilers.
The energy audit report shall provide a detailed image of the feasible solutions and an optimized package of solutions in regard to the local district heating system and supply boilers for the hospital, along with a clear life cycle cost-benefit analysis. Using the energy audit report and proposed renovation budget, the municipality will next prepare the design and implementation phase. The solutions are meant to increase the energy performance and improve the thermal indoor comfort of the patients and medical personnel.
The solutions are expected to decrease energy consumption by around 3.600 MWh per year which equals 40% energy savings. The CO2 emission is expected to decrease by 820 tonnes yearly. The solutions would also improve indoor comfort and air quality for more than 20.000 people per year.
