Description

The project was aimed at establishing cooperation with institutions from the Donor States and the implementation of academic exchange of students and employees both ways. The time of the pandemic mainly made it impossible for few students to go to university, and thus forced changes to the project in order to implement it as much as possible. Ultimately, the cooperation was carried out with seven institutions from Norway and Iceland (5 universities and 2 companies) and a total of fifteen (15) participants were carried out their mobility: including 4 long-term student mobilities (1 studies, 3 internships) and 11 short-term employee mobilities (10 ougoing from our institution, 1 incoming). Staff mobilities were mainly aimed at teaching and / or observing the work (job shadowing), presenting of the sending institution and the scientific achievements of the participant, familiarization with their main thematic areas and target groups. Recognition of the possibility of further cooperation (didactic, scientific, research) of both institutions, as part of educational and scientific programs, the organization of joint courses, the possibility of holding workshops for teachers and student internships. In addition, expanding knowledge about the practices, politics and system of foreign education, improving competences related to professional profiles, better understanding of social, linguistic and cultural diversity, increasing professional development opportunities, increasing motivation and satisfaction with everyday work and study.

Summary of project results

Participation in the project primarily increased the educational and professional qualifications of the participants, broadened the knowledge of their scientific interests, developed their personal and language skills. New relations were established and new contacts strengthened bilateral relations between Poland and the Donor States in the field of education. New solutions are planned, based on the experience of host institutions (e.g. regarding a new educational offer and better promotion). Familiarization with good practices in the field of institutional activities related to internationalization and lifelong learning programme. Planning for further activities has started, including further visits and development of common subjects, research programs, continuation of academic exchange and exchange of good practices. Learning about approaches of foreign institutions to meeting contemporary expectations of universities in terms of: sustainability and sustainable development goals, their engagement in green growth and changes / adaptations in institunal strategies and management. Most of the partner institutions from this completed project continue to cooperate in the next, currently ongoing project in the Education Program (edition 2021), which is also the result of long-term conversations and relationships started thanks to granting us the project in 2019.

Summary of bilateral results

Students of our university had the opportunity to go to institutions in Norway thanks to the funding that covered most of the related costs, thanks to which they could pursue studies / internships in completely new places, perfectly suited to their narrow areas of education and interests. The employees also established completely new relationships and contacts, which also resulted in further plans. Cooperation with most institutions is continued in the next edition of the program (2021), not with all of them due to the limited budget of each project, but we are in touch with all of them having plans for further activities in the future.
