The aim of the project is to increase competences of volunteers of the ALIA RES Foundation (4 people) by establishing cooperation with Norwegian organization FURIM INSTITUT, acquiring new knowledge, skills and developing an action plan based on experience gained during the study visit. 4 representatives of the Foundation - 2 members of the Board and 2 colleague/volunteers will participate in the 3-day study visit. Program includes elements of different nature and different methodologies. Main theme of study visit is related to outdoor education, education through sport and tourism. The project will strengthen the potential of AR and moreover, it will bring individual benefits to the participants of the visit (an increase of knowledge/competence, development ofs kills) who will use the experience gained in working for the NGO sector and activating the local community. The planned effect of the visit will be joint preparation by both organisations the assumptions for the next project.
Summary of project results
The project included a study visit to the Norwegian organization FURIM INSTITUT. During the meeting, topics related to youth education were discussed, particularly in terms of inclusion. Participants also met with another organization, operating in Oslo (Sagene If), which integrates young people and their families through sports and outdoor activities. The goals of the study visit were met one hundred percent. Participants improved their professional skills in informal education, learned about the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for people with disabilities, and received training on equal treatment of women and men in education and training. Participants were inspired to new activities for outdoor education, as well as inclusive activities through sports (especially in the context of national minorities, migrants). Activities undertaken in the project will also contribute to the promotion of diversity, intercultural dialogue and common values such as freedom tolerance and respect for human rights.
Summary of bilateral results
The study visit was conducted in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere. The pre-agreed substantive program was implemented in 100% during the three days of training meetings. Currently, both institutions are in further e-mail contact with the partner and we are planning further joint activities.
