Description

The main aim of the project is to strengthening the capacity of NGO and improve its position in local and regional scales/measures. Content is the methodology of non-formal vocational training social workers (employees and volunteers NGOs) and implemented and testing methodology in practice. Part of the vocational training will also be psychologically activities to provide the mental and emotional stability NGO staff. Completion of relaxation and release techniques to create its own staff skills - how to help himself, to help his colleague at work. There will be different forms of a newly acquired skills also useful for working with clients. Implementation of the project to improve professional skills and knowledge of our social workers, consolidating morale and increase motivation. Working out a methodology prepare the background for lifelong learning staff, extension our activities and increase the sustainability of the organization. The methodology will be freely available online for other NGOs working in the social field. At the end of the project we realize workshop with external NGOs and a round table with the participation of school staff and representatives of the municipality Prievidza. Both actions create a platform for sharing experiences, creating partnerships and strengthening of NGOs at local and regional level.

Summary of project results

The main objective of the project was to strengthen the capacity of non-profit organization and improve its position in the local and regional scales. Establishing a methodology of non-formal vocational training social workers and be tested in practice we managed to figure prominently order to meet. Methodological manual that we developed is a basis for further learning social and community workers working in Roma communities.During the project we realized 24 trainings / informal education for our staff and volunteers on the special fields e.g. new social skills how to deal with discrimination and social exclusion, communication and coaching social skills.Workshop and roundtable: we invite to the coooperation 9 local stakeholders: NGOs working with the Roma community, representatives of elementary school, community centers. Thanks to the project, we have strengthened the capacity building of personal and organizational development NGO. We have increased the sustainability and expanded activities in the local community We trained our employees and volunteers ( total 14 during 24 trainings sessions ). After project they know how to handle different situations for acquisition of social skills such as readiness for various types of behavior, stereotypes, The new Methodological manual for social and community workers help them to improve work with students, children and youth at risk from Roma communities, they can read best practise and expamples of inovative aproache for thier work. Through the participation of volunteers in the project and direct participation of youth from the ranks of 50 clients in activities of prevention (trafficking, drug abuse) are expected to change customs and habits, attitudes review of ethical, moral and moral values in volunteers and participating clients and at least partial transfer to the community.Thorugh the workshop and round table we started cooperation with NGOs working with the Roma community and the socially excluded communities. Within these activities was important for us to strengthen social partner NGOs in contact with the public administration. Representatives of public administration and non-governmental organizations who presented their work and the next schedule of activities for children and youth at risk can give the promise of cooperating to promote the activities of these organizations in addressing discrimination and social exclusion of children and youth.
