Description

The objective of this initiative is to prepare didactical materials for engineer students of mathematics, test them at workshops in both countries and develop the final outputs so that these may be used in mathematics courses in both partner universities and possibly also in other schools. Moreover, the outputs include also a case study, brochures and reports. The initiative could contribute to establishment of bilateral cooperation at university level and better learning of mathematics under any circumstances such as COVID-19 conditions.

Summary of the results

During the 12-month implementation period all planned activities were realized and all goals were met: In collaboration with the NO partner didactical materials were developed, a case study about testing the materials including feedbacks drafted and reports about activities delivered. Two workshops were organized (17th June 2021 and 17th December 2021) and the cooperation between partners led to a successful application of an ICP project supported by the EEA grants, Programme Education. In particular, two sets of didactical and pedagogical material were created - like videos, tasks and activities for engineering students including metadata and information for teachers (English, Norwegian) including questionnaires and a guide for interview in English. In addition, a comparative study / case study about how students in the Czech Republic and Norway use the materials and give feedback on the material and teaching/learning activities was completed. Two reports about activities carried out within the two "Czech-Norwegian workshops on teaching mathematics to engineering students" were published.

Information on the projects funded by the EEA and Norway Grants is provided by the Programme and Fund Operators in the Beneficiary States, who are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of this information.
