Summary of the results

Arctic Festival 2020-21 was the follow-up of all previous Arctic Festivals, both in the scientific and cultural areas. The public and all interested people in Czechia had the possibility to enjoy the unique Arctic art from Norway, Greenland, Iceland through art exhibitions, films, public readings and other cultural events taking place in Ústí n/L, Teplice, Prague, Dačice, České Budějovice and Hradec Králové. At several Arctic-Czech scientific conferences, the Czech public was acquainted with the achievements of Nordic and Czech scientists in Arctic research and with Czech-Arctic cultural and scientific activities in Czechia and the Arctic. New cooperation started between Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí n/L (UJEP), the Julius von Payer Institute in Ústí n/L, the University of Life Sciences in Prague and the Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromso (NPI).
The already acquired contacts between the Centre for Polar Ecology at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and NPI were deepened.
A comprehensive brochure “Arctic Festival 2018-21“ describing all cultural and scientific activities was published in a printed form and online on the Arctic Festival website.
