Description

The aim of this initiative is to develop a fruitful scientific collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine of the Masaryk University (MU) and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bergen (UIB) in order to foster scientific excellence. This collaboration will result in preparation of a joint research project application, generation of excellent scientific results and assure a continuous transfer of knowledge between the partners. Activities include two workshops (one in Brno and one in Bergen), mobility of the researchers, a pilot study, preparation of application for research project

Summary of the results

The initiative proceeded in the course of three years (2020-2023), including the difficult Covid-19 period.  8 mutual visits (to Oslo, Bergen and Brno) took place, 2 workshops were organized (in Bergen and in Brno) and a pilot study completed and resulted into a joint paper submitted to a highest-ranking Journal Brain Behaviour and Immunity and 2 research project proposals. The bilateral achievement consists in establishment of new collaboration between Masaryk University in Brno, CR, and Univerities of Tromso and Oslo through prof. Skrede. The collaboration will continute in the future and both partners intend to draft more joint project proposals.
