Description

Moving towards the realisation of Industry4.0 requires the ability to easily and cost-effectively start collecting big data from the production processes and environment. Regardless of the availability of different production monitoring systems and IoT solutions that are continuously developing, the digitisation process in manufacturing companies is slow and limited (companies mostly cover critical/bottleneck parts of the process and not the manufacturing as a whole).

The objective of the small project is to conduct a technical feasibility study of Evocon data logger for working based on MESH-network principle by using a wireless board. Evocon data loggers are today used to collect data about production throughput and efficiency. The objective is to assess the applicability, reliability and integrity of MESH-network principle in the production environment. The project expects to achieve a technical architecture using a MESH-network principle that guarantees data integrity and reliability and the ease of implementation in different kinds of manufacturing environments.
