Summary of project results
The main project goal was to start an intensive cooperation between the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Pilsen Region with the Department of Education and Training of Hordaland in Norway. The project participants tried to identify the educational activities that stimulate the development and full use of the potential of gifted students. These activities were then presented and offered to the headmasters of the established schools during the workshops and seminars.
The development of the potential of exceptionally gifted pupils was also connected with the second goal of the project: in-service teacher training with and the support of teachers who deal with talented pupils.
The project partners organised mutual visits. The members of the working group of both countries discussed differences in education and gained a comprehensive overview of both education systems. All participants enriched their knowledge in the field of education of students with special educational needs, especially those with extraordinary talents.
