Event consisting of a conference on one day and expert meeting on the next day.

Both events will include targeted discussions between experts from Latvia, Norway and Portugal on the following topics:


  1. The meaning of quality in projects aimed for young audiences

  2. How to gather and communicate cultural offer

  3. Mobility of cultural products

CONFERENCE

70-80 participants – representatives of cultural organisations (including potential project applicants), experts from the field of education, as well relevant experts at institutional level – will be invited to the conference. Topics relevant to

Summary of the results

On November 7-8, 2019, a two-day event was organized in Riga, during which a conference for a wider audience (potential project promoters, cultural organizations, representatives from municipalities and educational institutions) was held on November 7, and an expert discussion on November 8. 

Results achieved:

Cooperation between experts from Latvia, Norway and Portugal has been promoted, exchanging knowledge and the existing practices in each country, lessons learned in the field of creation of cultural products for schoolchildren and youth and mobility of cultural products. During the conference the knowledge of potential project applicants has been increased on programme culture area, on the Norwegian and Portuguese experience in creating cultural products for young audiences and preferable project results, sustainability of projects, etc. Awareness of EEA Grants among potential project applicants has been promoted.

A Handbook “Creating High-Quality Arts And Cultural Events For Youth And Children” has been created in cooperation with the Latvian Academy of Culture and the Embassy of Norway in Latvia in Latvian and English on the topics discussed during the conference which is available publicly to all cultural organizations who have interest in the topics, especially potential project applicants and their donor project partners.
