Description

The main objective of Arte no Tempo is the dissemination of contemporary musical art through the promotion of events, the encouragement of artistic creation and interpretation, the edition and production of performative activities.

Ensemble neoN strives to initiate, produce and perform music that reflects current trends in music and other art forms. The ensemble creates works which cross musical genres and art forms, demanding flexibility and creativity from its members and those the ensemble collaborates with. Formed in 2008 from a group of musicians educated at The Norwegian Academy of

Summary of the results

The partnership between Arte no Tempo and Ensemble neoN consisted in the preparation and development of an exchange that included the realization of a workshop for Portuguese composers (and other composers residents in Portugal), with both musicians from Ensemble neoN and Arte no Tempo''s ensemble (ars ad hoc), and the realization of two concerts with the referred ensembles - one in Oslo and another one in Aveiro - promoting the approximation of all involved to the reality in which their partners operate.
The exchange between the two institutions/ensembles resulted in a greater awareness of the reality in which they operate, both in the similarity of the problems they face and the different ways of overcoming them, and in the specificity of the aesthetic approaches and options. New connections were established and knowledge exchanged with different organisations. Six Portuguese composers benefited from the knowledge of the two ensembles.
