Description

The initiative aims to establish cooperation of APOKS and Norsk Energi and participate in addressing the issue of fuel combustion and its environmental impact. We are interested in the field of fuel combustion and their influence on the air and the environment. For us, the most important topic is reduction of adverse human activities on air quality, especially public awareness raising on air pollution. Our goal is to raise public awareness of the proper way of heating, the necessary heating maintenance or suitable types of fuels. We would like to share experience and knowledge on these topics

Summary of the results

The Norwegian grants and the “Trolltung” call allowed us (APOKS) to establish bilateral relations with the Norwegian organization Norsk Energi. Only in a personal meeting can all aspects of the issue be discussed in detail. Norsk Energi''s professionalism and brilliant attitude confirmed us in the right direction. Our four-day mission enabled us to discuss in detail the work and experience of both organizations, to learn the procedures for data evaluation and processing, to look at various applications that reduce the negative impact of human activity on air quality and, above all, strengthen our bilateral relations. One of the events that really impressed us was a visit to a house heated by a solar system and a pellet stove. The other very fruitful one was a meeting with a representative of the Norwegian Environment Agency who operates as a contact person for the Bilateral Fund of the CZ-Environment Programme too. We greatly appreciate the opportunities and support we have received and I believe that we will be able to establish long-term cooperation between the two organizations (mainly in form of projects), which will be beneficial for improving air quality in our country as well as in Norway.
