Programme Concerns
A maximum of € 6,000,000 of the programme grant shall be allocated to innovation centres located in different regions of Latvia.
Infrastructure (hard measures) is not eligible for funding under this programme. The costs of mobile equipment for demonstration rooms that supports activities within the centres shall be eligible. A maximum level of funding available from the total eligible expenditure of the programme for such equipment shall be identified in the concept note.
The location, allocation and the activities of each of the centres will be determined during the concept note phase. The centres shall aim to develop new education and training programmes for teachers, students and pupils in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and facilitate cooperation and partnerships between institutions in education, research and the world of work.
The total allocation of the programme will be set aside for the ‘Baltic Research Programme’, aiming at developing a regional hub for research in the Baltic region. Up to € 7,260,081 of the programme grant is allocated to the programme area ‘Research’, and up to € 495,436 of the programme grant is allocated to the programme area ‘Education, Scholarships, Apprenticeships and Youth Entrepreneurship’.
Bilateral Ambitions
€ 100,000 shall be allocated to the programme from the fund for bilateral relations. This does not prevent the Joint Committee for Bilateral Funds from allocating additional funds to the programme.| € 50,000 shall be allocated to the programme from the fund for bilateral relations.
