4 million in scholarships available in Poland

Polish educational and research institutions, doctoral students and young researchers can now apply for scholarships for study exchanges abroad and cooperation projects with institutions in Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

The €13.4 million Polish Scholarship and Training Fund launched a third open call for scholarships and project proposals on 1 February. The fund has been jointly set up by Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Poland to enhance educational cooperation and boost student exchanges.
Grants are awarded to student exchanges, language courses, cooperation projects between educational institutions from Poland and the three EEA EFTA states, and projects aimed at developing Polish higher education institutions.
Proposals can be submitted to fund manager Foundation for the development of the Education System until 31 March 2009. Further details on eligible applicants and activities are available in the open call text and on the intermediary`s web site.
