The project aims to implement new integrated services in 93 rural communities in Iasi county in order to prevent school drop-out and to increase school attendance for at least 1070 (268 Roma) children considered at high risk of leaving school due to poverty, family issues and isolation. The project creates an innovative integrated model developed in a public-private partnership where the children will receive support through the creation of 10 types of non-formal activities designed to encourage and increase their capacity to learn in school, to make the schools more friendly and to increase the school attendance. 1070 parents (268 Roma ethnics) will be supported to improve the methods for helping their children, 1023 teachers will be supported in identifying best models and techniques of helping the children with school problems, in order to overcome the risk situations. The project is a pilot programme that can be replicated in other schools in similar situations.
