The museum is located in the cityof Szczecin’s old tram depot halls, which date back to 1912, and cover more than 3000 square metres. 750 items are on display, including Polish cars, motorcycles, trams, buses and tractors. The museum has been connected to the tram network of the city, enabling visitors to go on trips in an old renovated tram through the streets of Szczecin. The museum also features a science exhibition where visitors can experience elements of science and technology, presented in an educational and instructive fashion.

Thanks to the EEA Grants-financed project, valuable cultural heritage, such as old trains and other transport vehicles, has been protected and the city of Szczecin can boast a new tourist attraction.
During the course of the project, the formerly deteriorated old tram depot halls were renovated and modified into a museum, old transport vehicles, equipment and furniture were purchased, exhibition rooms were created, and a new building to house a warehouse, administrative office facilities and a reading room for visitors was constructed.

The project was implemented in partnership with the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Norsk teknisk museum) in Oslo, and this cooperation will enable joint exhibitions and other cultural and educational projects involving both museums.
