Programme for cross-border projects in the Bug Euroregion

Poland's €500 000 cross-border fund for the Euroregion Bug supports 26 multilateral and bilateral partnership projects between partners from Lubelskie region in Poland, Brest region in Belarus and Volyn Region in Ukraine.

Norway is supporting the fund with €425 000, with the fund Intermediary, the Association of Local Governments of Euroregion BUG, providing the remaining 15% of the fund.

The overall aim of the fund is to enhance capacity for cross-border cooperation of public Polish entities in the Euroregion Bug, covering the border-sharing areas of Belarus, Poland and Ukraine. Through one open call, grants were awarded to 26 projects within the following areas:

•u0009transfer of knowledge from the developed regions to underdeveloped regions;
•u0009publicity of regional and local development in the area;
•u0009support for development of communication and information exchange systems; and
•u0009cross-border ecological tourism-based cooperation
