Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are supporting the Democracy and Civil Society part of the NGO fund with €12.5 million, which accounts which accounts for 90% of the fund.
The aim of the €13.9 million grant is to support NGOs in increasing knowledge and respect of the rule of law, citizens' rights and responsibilities and gender equality. Through five open calls, grants were awarded to 317 projects within these focus areas. Besides increasing the role of civil society in Poland, the fund is also promoting bilateral relations between Poland and the donor states.
