Strong support to the Polish civil society continues under the EEA Grants 2009-14, with €37 million allocated to a new fund for non-governmental organisations. Poland provides the remaining 10% of the total value of the programme. NGOs will be able to apply for funding for projects to promote democracy, social justice and sustainable development.

The tender issued today by the Polish Ministry of Regional Development is to select one institution or group of institutions that will act as the Programme Operator for the NGO Fund.

The Programme Operator must be an entity registered in Poland that has strong ties to the Polish NGO sector. The successful bidder will be responsible for preparing the NGO programme and implementing this, including announcing open calls and re-granting to projects.

Bids need to be submitted by 14 September 2012. For further information, see the website of the Polish Ministry of Regional Development.
