The call, allocated to applications for Individual Projects, covers the entire commitment period of the financial mechanisms. In total, the two financial mechanisms will make available 3.2 million euros to projects in the Malta over a five-year period until 2009, covering a wide range of priority sectors such as conservation of the European cultural heritage, health and childcare and strengthening the judiciary.

Just above 3 million euros was made available when Malta announced its open call for proposals for applications under the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism established by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The call for proposals closes on 6 November 2005 at noon.
