Lithuania announces 20 mln call for proposals

Lithuania announced an open call for proposals making close to €20 million available for individual project applications under the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, established by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The deadline for submission of applications is 2 November 2006.

The call for proposals is earmarked to applications for individual projects and covers priority sectors supported by both the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, including promotion of sustainable development, conservation of European cultural heritage, human resource development, health and childcare, implementation of Schengen Acquis and regional policy and cross-border activities.

The €19.929 million call for proposals is open to applications from all Lithuanian legal entities, ranging from public and private sector bodies to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). Projects may also be implemented together with partners from the donor countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, as well as the other countries within the European Economic Area.
