Children and youth are still facing many challenges in Lithuania. This is particularly true for children and youth from low-income families, many of whom are not seeing their most basic needs, such as food and clothing, being met. To help with this situation, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway have allocated more than €6 million to the Lithuanian programme for children and youth at risk. A call for proposals under this programme is now open.
Who can apply for funding?
Organisations eligible for funding include:
- State enterprises
- Religious organisations
- Charities
- Associations
Partnerships with entities from Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway are encouraged.
What activities are supported?
Among the supported activities are:
- Creation and modernisation of the infrastructures of child day care centres with open space for youth
- Development of services for child day care centres
- Development of inter-institutional cooperation
- Acquisition of measures for child day care centres.
When is the application deadline?
Applications must be submitted by 3.45 pm (GMT+2) on 17 March (NEW DEADLINE!)
