-Great potential for cooperation

The Norwegian green tech company SAGAsystem is well established in Scandinavia and sees the Norway Grants as an opportunity to establish cooperation in the Baltics. Read the interview with its Director Robert B. Jacobsen.

Norway Grants is investing close to €100 million in green innovation, and encourages cooperation between enterprises in Norway and the countries benefiting from the Grants. Almost 200 participants learned more about the opportunities for bilateral cooperation in green innovation at a recent conference in Oslo.  

Jens Måge from Biowas and Andrei Orban from The Environ Association aslo attended the conference.

Q: “In what ways have you benefited from the conference?”
A: “It is very useful to learn about the plans the countries involved have, where development and cooperation together with Norwegian partners is a priority. I have met a number of representatives that we will stay in touch with and that we believe will deliver results.

Q “What potential do you see for cooperation?”
A: “I see great potential for cooperation, and we envisage cooperation according to various models. There lies a great potential in finding the right partners from the countries in question through this programme. It will be crucial for the successful establishment of a Norwegian enterprise of a Norwegian product.”

Q: “What country is the most interesting for you and your enterprise?”
A: “Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are the most interesting in the short term. Keeping the large potential in mind, a larger country such as Poland is definitively of interest in the longer term.
