The information seminar will be held at the Municipal Library of Prague from 10.00 - 14.00 on 8 and 9 January. In addition to information on priority sectors and activities eligible for support through the EEA Grants, specific sections will be dedicated to the various funds set up in the Czech Republic and to the possibilities of engaging in partnership projects with institutions from the donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
The €19.4 million open call that was launched on 26 November is the third in a row counting in calls in both 2005 and 2006, taking the total support set aside for Czech individual projects to €82.9 million. The total amount allocated to the Czech Republic under the EEA Grants amounts to €110.9 million.
In the third open call applications can be submitted to the Czech Focal Point within the fields of:
- Conservation of the European cultural heritage;
u0009 - Protection of the environmen;
- Human resource developmen;
- Health and childcar;
- Promotion of sustainable developmen; and
- Implementation of Schengen acquis and strengthening the judiciary. u0009
Indicatively, 35% of the funds have been allocated to cultural heritage projects, with large sums of funding also set aside for health and childcare and environment at 25 and 20%.
