The Norwegian Ambassador to Croatia, Henrik Ofstad, was also present at the event, which took place on 16 June, as was the Honorary Consul of Iceland to Croatia, Marin Filipović, and the Ambassador of Switzerland to Croatia, Denis Knobel, representing Liechtenstein. From the Croatian side, representatives from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance and the Agency for Review of the Implementation of EU Programmes were present as well.

In his remarks, the Deputy Minister underlined that although implementing new programmes and projects can be challenging, Croatia is prepared for the work ahead.
“We are ready for it, and we hope the cooperation will strengthen bilateral relations and be beneficial for all involved countries,” he said.
In total, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway have allocated €9.6 million to Croatia for the remainder of the current funding period, 2009-2014. Justice and home affairs and human and social development are the two biggest areas of support, receiving €3.65 million and €3.41 million respectively.
