Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are supporting the Czech Research Support Fund with close to € 4.4, with the Czech government providing the remaining 9% of the fund.
The overall objective of the fund is to contribute to the reduction of economic and social disparities and to strengthen cooperation and scientific networking between the EEA EFTA states and the Czech Republic. The fund supports academic research projects related to all priority sectors of the EEA and Norway Grants. Through 5 open calls, grants have been awarded to 79 projects.
One example is the support to Czech and Norwegian scientists that cooperate to chart possible sites for future CO2 capture and storage in the Czech Republic.
A complete list of all supported projects can be found on the Fund website.
