Call for proposals: gender-based violence

Polish public entities and non-governmental organisations  can now apply for funding from the Polish domestic and gender-based violence programme. Financed by the Norway Grants, the programme helps Poland tackle an issue it has been struggling with for many years.

With a total allocation of more than €3 million, the main objective of the programme is to decrease the latency of domestic and gender-based violence in Poland. The programme aims to prevent acts of violence by strengthening the cooperation between central authorities, local governments and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in this field.

What is supported?

Projects that aim to reduce either domestic or gender-based violence are eligible for funding. This includes the following activities:

  • Development of preventive measures and improved infrastructure in dealing with domestic violence at the regional and local level
  • Support for entities implementing treatment programmes for people affected by gender-based violence

Who can apply?

The following entities are eligible for funding:

  • NGOs
  • Territorial and local self-government units;

When is the application deadline?

Applications must be submitted by 16 September 2013.
