Call for proposals: Estonian-Norwegian research projects

A call for proposals for collaborative research projects is now open for Estonian research and development institutions in cooperation with Norwegian partners. The call covers all scientific areas.

Research and scholarship

The Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, in cooperation with the Estonian Research Council and the Research Council of Norway, has now opened a call for proposals for collaborative research projects under the Norwegian-Estonian Research Cooperation Programme. The overall objective of the programme is to enhance research-based knowledge development in Estonia through research cooperation between Estonia and Norway

Who can apply?

 Eligible applicants are research and development institutions in Estonia.

What is supported?

Proposals for research projects are invited in all areas of research:

  • Culture and Society (including social sciences and humanities);
  • Environment and Biosciences;
  • Health;
  • Physical Sciences and Engineering.

Joint research projects in the field of basic and/or applied research will also be supported.

When is the application deadline?

The grant application has to be submitted electronically via the Estonian Research Portal (EST) by 14 March 2013 at 16:00 EST (15:00 CET).

Cooperation with at least one research team from Norway, a so-called donor project partner, is mandatory. Participants from outside Estonia and Norway may also take part in the supported projects, but are only eligible for funding related to travel expenses.
