Norwegian partners stand ready
In September 2013, in the first round out of three planned conferences, the Latvian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development informed about the National climate policy programme. Parts of the conference were set aside for matching potential partners.
Among the participants were representatives from Norwegian expert authorities, such as the Norwegian Environment Agency (NEA). The NEA Deputy Director General Audun Rosland stressed their commitment as a donor programme partner and hoped for participation from Norwegian companies. Partnerships between Latvian entities and Norwegian donor partners are especially encouraged.
