NGO Forum – Riga 2015

The overarching objective of the forum is to evaluate expert proposals in order to improve and strengthen the involvement of civil society in decision-making at the national and EU level. This will be done by addressing several different factors such as democracy, organised involvement of civil society, innovative approach to promotion of civil society involvement, human rights, environment and sustainability.Key speakers include Laimdota Straujuma, Prime Minister of Latvia and Vidar Helgesen, Norwegian Minister of EEA and European Affairs.The event is organised under the umbrella of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.Read more about the Latvian 'NGO programme'
