Launch: Improving the Romanian population health through increased tuberculosis control

Romania has the highest number of people suffering from tuberculosis (TB) in the EU with around 12 000 people diagnosed each year. This project aims to strengthen TB control in Romania, with a particular focus on multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and vulnerable groups.The project is implemented by the Marius Nasta Institute in partnership with the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation, the Centre for Health Services and Policy and LHL International Tuberculosis Foundation in Norway and is financed by Norway through the Romanian 'Public Health Initiatives' programme.Read more about the Romanian 'Public Health Initiatives' programme
