Bilateral Seminar: 'Investing in Parents, Investing in Children'

The upbringing of the next generation is considered to be a major contribution that parents make to society at large. Supporting responsible and productive citizens is priceless, the value of which becomes painfully evident when parenting breaks down. Governments across the world have come to realise the importance of good parenting and see it as an essential and valuable building block of society and are now investing in supporting parents through well thought out policies in the upbringing of their children.A positive parenting policy (PPP) has been on the agenda of Malta for some time now and the Department of Family Studies has been tasked with drafting the first such policy.
