Development of Smart Furniture with Artificial Intelligence and Medical Devices:
The overall objective of the proposed project is the development of smart furniture with artificial intelligence and medical devices. The project is focused on industrial research in the field of specialized intelligent furniture, movable interior and exterior units with an integrated robotic mechanism, controlled by computer software and artificial intelligence connected to a medical center.
The project and its outputs have a fundamental impact on the social inclusion of vulnerable groups. Particular in the form of output products that will enable older and sick people to live independently, respectively. Improve their living comfort inclusive in the community without the need for daily/permanent residence in a health or social care facility.
The project and its outputs via artificial intelligence technologies and ergonomic solutions will also contribute to the topic of anti-discrimination for the elderly and the disabled.
Summary of project results
The project aimed to develop intelligent devices for seniors and the immobile, addressing challenges related to prototyping, testing, and securing intellectual property.
The project involved several key activities, including prototyping and testing intelligent devices, managing project resources, and conducting project publicity. Activity 4 focused on prototyping and testing, which began in July 2023 and concluded in April 2024. Activity 5 involved project publicity, starting in May 2022 and finishing in April 2024. The project also included changes in project partners, reporting periods, and budget adjustments to ensure successful implementation.
The project successfully developed and tested intelligent devices for seniors and the immobile, secured a contract with a Taiwanese company for further production, and achieved all milestones by April 2024. The main beneficiaries were seniors, the immobile, and stakeholders in the healthcare and assistive technology sectors.
Summary of bilateral results
