Description

Oversen is aimed at increasing the quality of life of elderly people and minimizing  stress or worries of their relatives. The project makes it possible for relatives to check that everything is alright with their beloved seniors. Oversen is a complex solution based on indoor positioning system technology, smart wearables, and mobile and web application, that can be installed to every household (the only condition is an internet connection). The product uses the latest and most accurate technology based on Bluetooth.  This complex solution can be a great opportunity for the company to enter new markets and establish international partnerships. The further product development and modification will be financed from revenues that Oversen will generate in operating years following the project implementation.

The product is aimed to monitor elderly people living alone by their relatives via mobile or web application to ensure their safety, health and wellbeing. The same can be applied for people with disabilities living alone.

The project and the final product are aimed for elderly people and does not differentiate target group by gender, rase or sexual orientation. The project is in accordance with the horizontal principles for sustainable development, support for equality between men and women and non-discrimination, which are defined in the Partnership Agreement of the Slovak Republic for the years 2014 - 2020 in Art. 7 and 8 of the General Regulation.

Summary of project results

The Oversen project aimed to address the safety and independence of elderly individuals living alone. The main challenges included the need for continuous monitoring of vital signs and movement, providing real-time alerts and updates to relatives and caregivers, and ensuring data privacy and security.

The project developed and implemented a comprehensive system integrating smart wearable devices, an indoor positioning system, and monitoring of vital signs and movement. Key activities included developing devices to monitor vital signs and detect falls, integrating a system to track movements and provide alerts, and creating a responsive system for real-time health and location updates via mobile and web applications. Additionally, the project focused on communication and dissemination through an official website, social media, marketing materials, and organizing conferences and workshops.

The project successfully created a system that provided continuous real-time health and location monitoring with automatic alerts for unusual behavior. The user-friendly interfaces allowed easy navigation for users, caregivers, and family members. The main beneficiaries were elderly individuals living alone, as the system promoted their safety and independence. Additionally, relatives and caregivers benefited from the ability to provide proactive support through real-time alerts and updates.
