Description
The project focuses on social inclusion and intergenerational cooperation in the field of new media and information and communication technologies and uniquely connects two target groups - seniors and youth. In the form of interactive workshops, it brings solutions and motivation for seniors how to get out of social isolation and at the same time reflects on their need for belonging and self-realization. Thanks to the workshops, seniors will learn basic skills in the field of new media and information and communication technologies in a playful way, while gaining the desire, will, courage and motivation to share their lifelong passions or experiences with the world - with the help of "mentors" (youth), who will accompany them on this new journey. Through the active participation of young people on the basis of volunteering, the project also contributes to the improvement of intergenerational dialogue and changes in the perception of seniors by the young generation, and at the same time encourages young people to become civically engaged. The project is implemented throughout Slovakia and involves several organizations and experts in cooperation. The organization plans to actively involve at least 320 seniors in the project.
