Summary of project results

The project focused on addressing multiple challenges faced by disadvantaged groups in Sânpetru de Câmpie, Mureș, particularly vulnerable families, including Roma families. The key issues identified were:

  • Poverty and Unstable Income Sources – Many adults lacked education and qualifications, making it difficult to secure stable jobs. Most relied on seasonal or informal labor with irregular income;
  • Limited Access to Social and Medical Services – The community had inadequate access to healthcare, social services, and assistance for vulnerable groups;
  • Educational Challenges for Children – Many children, especially from poor and Roma families, struggled academically due to lack of resources and educational support;
  • Housing and Legal Issues – Several families lived in poor housing conditions and lacked proper documentation for property ownership;
  • Infrastructure Deficiencies – Poor roads, lack of electricity, and inadequate public utilities affected the quality of life, especially for Roma and low-income households.

In order to address these issues, the project used an integrated service strategy in four important areas: employment, healthcare, education, and social assistance. The main activities included:

  • Provision of Social and Medical Services – 497 individuals received socio-medical support, including health check-ups and social assistance.
  • Housing Assistance – 160 families received assistance, support and accompaniment in order to regulate the housing situation, for 160 houses topographic measurements were carried out and the necessary documents were submitted to the Real Estate Cadastre and Advertising Office (OCPI);
  • Employment Support and Training – 178 individuals (unemployed and inactive youth) benefited from job counseling, skill assessments, interview preparation, and job placement support;
  • Educational Support for Children – 60 schoolchildren (including 18 Roma children) participated in educational activities to improve school performance;
  • Parental Education Programs – 40 parents received training on child development and education to better support their children''s schooling.

The project successfully improved the living conditions and opportunities for 558 individuals from vulnerable groups. Key results include:

  • Increased access to essential services – Beneficiaries received medical and social support, improving their overall well-being;
  • Employment outcomes – Many participants gained skills and job opportunities, leading to increased financial stability;
  • Improved educational performance – Children showed better school attendance and performance due to additional academic support;
  • Housing security – Several families obtained legal ownership of their homes, reducing long-term housing insecurity;
  • Community empowerment – The project involved the target group in decision-making and planning, ensuring that solutions were tailored to their actual needs.

By integrating services and addressing multiple issues simultaneously, the project created long-term improvements for the community in Sânpetru de Câmpie.
