Description

This project consist in the elaboration of a technical documentations  for building of two bridges over the Racasdiuta stream,  asphalted streets  and accesses to properties,  in areas mostly populated by Roma, in Racasdia commune, Caras Severin county. During the winter and the rainy season Racasdiuta watercourse becomes impossible to cross. The total street length  is aprox 682.2 ml.  This proposal  solve an older problem of the majority Roma inhabitants from the "Chituiu", ”Latan " and "Stadion" subzones from Racasdia village,  an easier and more civilized access to School, After School, Football field. In the subzone called "Chituiu" live 7 Roma families, 34 people, out of which 8 are students.  In the subzone called "Latan" live 4 Roma families,  14 people,  out of which 5 are students, and in the subzone called "Stadium ” live 20 Roma families,  100 people,  out of which 20 are students. In these subzones also live about 13 non-Roma families,  about 31 people. All these 3 subzones are part of the area generically called "Stadium". 
On the long term, these bridges and streets will make a  faster, easier and more civilized connection between the "Stadium" Subzone and the Pentecostal Church of Racasdia (Pentecostal Church is frequented by about 43 people mostly Roma) on the one hand, as well as between the sub-zones "Chituiu", "Latan" and After School, Football field, General school, City Hall, Dispensary. The final beneficiaries of this proposed investment are all the inhabitants of Racasdia commune.

Summary of project results

The project adressed the need to build of two bridges over the Racasdiuta stream,  asphalted streets  and accesses to properties, in areas mostly populated by Roma, in Racasdia commune, Caras Severin county. As a general impact of the project, the degree of marginalizaton will be reduced, especialy among the Roma community. Within the framework of this project, technical documentations and specialy studies were develop in order to build the bridges and rehabilitation of the nearest streets. The technical documentation was developed and  the necessary approvals for the first phase of the feasibility study were obtained. This will lead to the increase of the chances for obtaining non-reimbursable funding from the various programs at national level. The technical documentation will be further used by the project promoter as part of other financing application to be submitted in order to finance the investment works. On the long term, building the bridges and streets will contribute to increasing the equal access to inclusive and quality social services for the members of the marginalized group living in Racasdia commune.
