Description
The main objective of the project is the implementation of a photovoltaic system, placed on the building roof of the Promoter''s headquarters and on the ground, with a total installed capacity of 0,04095 MWp, in order to assure electricity from renewable sources for the daily office activities of the Promoter and to reduce CO2 emissions.
The photovoltaic system will be positioned in 4 groups on the roof and will produce total 40 MWh/year for own consumption. The main problem of the Promoter is the high dependency on the conventional sources, including the electricity purchased from the national grid, which represents a high cost for the company. The new system is also estimated to annually decrease CO2 emissions by 12,24 tonnes eq./year.
The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces the energy consumption from conventional sources, provides energy cost economy and gives a partial energy autonomy. Value is also created through the improvement of the company’s image by using renewable energy sources. Key activities includes:
- Technical design.
- External project management.
- Financial audit.
- Publicity to promote the project.
Summary of project results
The main problem of the Project Promoter was the high dependency on the conventional sources, including the electricity purchased from the national grid, which represents a high cost for the company.
The project consisted in implementation of a photovoltaic system placed on the building roof, with a total installed capacity of a 0,04095 MWp, in order to assure electricity from renewable sources for the daily office activities of the Project Promoter and to reduce CO2 emissions.
Outcome indicators:
a) Estimated annual CO2 emissions reductions: 12 tonns of CO2 eq./year;
b) Electric energy produced from other renewable sources: 40 MWh/year.
Output indicators:
a) Installed capacity for production of electricity from other RES: 0,04095 MW
b) Number of new installations for production of renewable energy: 1 new photovoltaic installation
Other indicators:
- Number of staff trained in the project: 1 person
The proposed photovoltaic system will contribute to decreasing the dependency on conventional sources by locally producing green energy which will be used for own consumption. The implementation of renewable energy will allow the company to decrease its annual CO2 emissions with estimated 12 tonnes of CO2 eq. per year.
