Description

The main objective of the project is implementation of two photovoltaic systems with a total installed capacity of 0,81 MWp (0,62 MWp at Barbatesti station and 0,19 MWp at Bals station) in order to assure electricity from renewable resources for the technological consumption of two transformer stations (one in Barbatesti, Gorj County and one in Bals, Olt County) and to reduce CO2 emissions. The photovoltaic systems at selected transformer stations have obvious advantages due to high energy production efficiency, use of renewable energy, and reduction of energy costs.

When choosing the technical solution, the interconnected operation mode of all the stations was taken into account, correlated with the available surfaces existing in the transformation stations, as well as the internal consumption that needs to be compensated from renewable sources. The systems will be installed on available land area of 6.758 sqm in the Barbatesti station and 2.000 sqm in the Bals station. The metal support structure must be specially designed for the installation of photovoltaic panels on the ground and will have an inclination of 20 degrees. The inverters will have an efficiency of up 98,4%. The photovoltaic plant will produce 1.183 MWh/year for own consumption.

Key activities include:

  • Delivery of equipment and installations of the PV system.
  • Internal project management.
  • Financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces the energy consumption from conventional sources, provides energy cost economy and gives a partial energy autonomy.
