Description

The main objective of the project envisages the development of the company and the improvement of economic competitiveness by rehabilitating existing equipment with state-of-the-art technologies. The project will enable the commissioning of additional power output and an estimated increase of energy production of up to 415 MWh/year and will determine an estimated annual CO2 emission reduction of 127 tonnes of CO2 eq./year. The hydropower production will have an installed capacity of 0,10 MW.

The project proposes a technical solution to increase the production of electricity from renewable resources based on micro hydro power plant, for long periods of time, based on designing and replacing the horizontal Francis (FO) runner, the horizontal Francis turbine (FO) and vertical Francis (FV) draft tube. In order to improve the sustainability of investment will be design and develop a new process control and remote SCADA system to accommodate establish equipment with the new draft tubes, but also an asset instrumentation for data management. The project will enable the commissioning of additional power output and an estimated increase of energy efficiency of up to 10%.

Key activities include:

  • Investments.
  • Internal project management.
  • Financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

Expected outputs includes 2 new or refurbished installations for production of hydropower electricity, 1 new job created, and 5 employees will receive specific training.

The project will be implemented in partnership with S.C. Societatea de Inginerie Sisteme S.A. (SIS S.A.) located in Bucharest, Romania. The role of SIS will be the design, sizing, test and implementation of control system. It will analyze the existing system and propose a new control architecture. Based on this, modeling and simulations will be made.
