Description

The main objective of the project is implementation of a photovoltaic system in order to ensure electricity from renewable resources for the production unit, to reduce CO2 emissions and to achieve partial energy independence. Based on internal research activities, as well as the current situation regarding the need for improvement of energy consumption, the results concluded that by placing a photovoltaic system on the roofs of the production units (5 halls), with a total area of 3.000 square meters, the company will be able to reduce energy costs for processing the plastic waste, increase security of energy supply and reduce CO2 emissions.

The technical solution proposes developing a 315 KW photovoltaic plant with direct energy injection into the company''s own network. The photovoltaic plant will be connected to the electricity grid, without active energy injection into the distribution operator''s grid, only for own consumption purposes. The photovoltaic panels will be placed on the roofs of the 5 production halls. The photovoltaic system will produce 401 MWh/year for own consumption.

Key activities include:

  • Delivery of equipment and installation of PV system.
  • Project management.
  • Financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure visibility of the project.

The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces energy consumption from conventional sources, generates energy cost savings and gives a partial energy autonomy. Furthermore, through the reduction of CO2 emissions generated by the production process, the company will green its activity with positive impact on the environment.

Summary of project results

One photovoltaic system was set up.
