Description

The main objective of the project is implementation of a photovoltaic system in order to ensure electricity from renewable resources for the production process, to reduce CO2 emissions and to achieve partial energy independence. Based on internal research activities, as well as the current situation regarding the need for improvement of energy consumption, the results concluded that by placing a photovoltaic system on the roof of the production hall with a total area of 10.000 square meters, the company will be able to reach those goals.

The technical solution proposes developing a 998,80 KW photovoltaic plant with direct energy injection into the company''s own network. The photovoltaic plant will be connected to the electricity grid, without active energy injection into the distribution operator''s grid, only for own consumption purposes.  The photovoltaic panels will be placed on the roof of the production hall. For the conversion of photovoltaic energy, 10 inverters with nominal power of 50 KW each will be used. The photovoltaic system will produce 1.200 MWh/year for own consumption.

Key activities include:

  • Delivery of equipment and installation of PV system.
  • Project management.
  • Financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure visibility of the project.

The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces energy consumption from conventional sources, generates energy cost savings and gives a partial energy autonomy. Furthermore, through the reduction of CO2 emissions generated by the production process, the company will green its activity with positive impact on the environment.

Summary of project results

The project reduces the dependence on conventional energy and the energy costs. Also, it  decreases the CO2 emissions in the production process. The facility operates mainly on electricity, as in the production unit there are several equipment used in the meat processing which work exclusively on electricity. The energy produced by green sources will cover at least 50% of the consumption need.

The project consistsed in implementation of a photovoltaic system in order to ensure electricity from renewable resources for the production process, to reduce CO2 emissions and to achieve partial energy independence.

Activities of the project in the implementation period: Delivery of equipment and installation of photovoltaic system. The activities consisted in delivery of equipment and installation of photovoltaic system, including structure mounting, cables and panels mounting.

The project contributes to the production process and further development of the company by reducing the energy costs and creating partly energy independence. Also, it allows the Applicant to have a control over the energy costs, optimizing the operational expenses.
