Description

The main objective of the project is to increase Polisano Pharmaceuticals S.A. energy efficiency by procuring and installing a highly innovative energy efficiency system based on solar panels and additional dedicated equipment. Polisano aims to reduce its dependence of conventional energy as well as to optimize its expenses connected with the needed energy for production processes by procuring and installing an integrated photovoltaic system with a capacity of max 580kWp.

The selected technical solution and its innovativeness will support the company to achieve an estimated 223 tonnes of CO2 annual reduction. They propose to build a power plant, through a system of photovoltaic modules mounted on the roofs of the company''s production hall, to partially cover the electricity consumption. A number of 1.105 photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 525Wp will be installed. The estimated annual energy production of the photovoltaic plant, for this configuration, will be approximately 710 MWh. The company''s annual energy consumption for the last 12 months for the location where the photovoltaic plan will be installed, amounts to 3.961MWh, while the estimated energy produced following the implementation of the project (710 MWh) will ensure approximately 18% of the company''s energy needs.

Key activities of the project include:

  • Project investment in the new system.
  • External project management and financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure visibility of the project.

The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces energy consumption from conventional sources, generates energy cost savings and gives a partial energy autonomy. Furthermore, through the reduction of CO2 emissions generated by the production process, the company will green its activity with positive impact on the environment.
