Description

The main objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency at POLIMED by adopting a new and innovative solar panel system capable to produce up to 990 kWp and improving its eco-friendly position in accordance with the internal strategy. The photovoltaic system, composed of 1.200 modules with a capacity of 0,255 kWp and 2.070 modules with a capacity of 0,370 kWp, that will be installed in the parking lot, next to the factory.

The photovoltaic system will be installed in the parking lot, next to the factory. Part of the solar panel will be mounted on a metal scaffolding made of aluminum, above the parking lot, about 4 meters from the ground. The panels will be installed at approximately 200 meters from the factory, and cables will be necessary to connect the factory to the solar panels. The other part of the solar panels will be installed near the parking lot, directly on the ground.

The company''s annual energy consumption for the last 12 months for the location where the photovoltaic plan will be installed, amounts to 4.890MWh, while the estimated energy produced following the implementation of the project (1.216MWh) will ensure approximately 25% of the company''s energy needs. The proposed technical solution will have relevant impact not only in the reduction of grid dependency and creating an innovative green solution but also, by generating 990 kWp, the company’s CO2 emissions will be reduced with 372 tonnes of CO2/ year. Key activities include:

  • Investment activity.
  • Project management.
  • Financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces energy consumption from conventional sources, generates energy cost savings and gives a partial energy autonomy. Furthermore, through the reduction of CO2 emissions generated by the production process, the company will green its activity with positive impact on the environment.
