Description

The main objective of the project is to improve the energy efficiency at Scandia Food S.R.L. in order to increase the overall productivity of the company, by adopting a highly innovative solar panel system, with a total installed capacity up to 0.78MW. The company aims to reduce its dependence of conventional energy as well as to optimize its expenses connected with the needed energy for production processes.  The selected technical solution and its innovativeness will support the company to achieve an estimated 245 tonnes of CO2 annual reduction.

The project proposes to build a power plant, through a system of photovoltaic modules mounted on the roofs of buildings within the Scandia factory in Sibiu, to partially cover the electricity consumption.
Thus, according to the feasibility study, it is desired to install a number of approximately 1.705 photovoltaic modules on the 5 roofs of the Scandia factory in Sibiu, with a total installed power of approximately 0.78MW. Key activities include:

  • Investments in relation to the PV system.
  • Internal project management.
  • Financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces energy consumption from conventional sources, generates energy cost savings and gives a partial energy autonomy. Furthermore, through the reduction of CO2 emissions generated by the production process, the company will green its activity with positive impact on the environment.
