Description

The main objective of the project is to reduce the energy poverty through the electrification of the 69 households by using energy produced from photovoltaic panels in Hoghilag Commune and ensuring normal living conditions for a number of 257 people who will benefit from the connection to electrification solutions.
The project proposes the installation of photovoltaic panels to electrify 69 isolated household. 22 households from Hoghilag village and 47 households from Valchid village. To solve the problem of electrification, it is proposed the solution of installing solar panel systems for each household. The photovoltaic system will be installed on a metal frame fixed in concrete, so that the panels will be positioned above each house, but not directly on the roof, because the structure of the houses would not allow this. Electrification of the 69 households not only solves the lighting problem, but also has an impact on the direct beneficiaries, by reducing disparities between community members, increasing children''s access to education, increasing access to information, and reducing crime in the community.
Key activities include:

  • Technical design.
  • Project investment and project management.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

Expected outcomes of the project includes 257 persons benefitting from being connecting to electricity solutions, estimated annual CO2 emissions reduction by 33,78 tonnes/year and 110,4 MWh/year energy produced from renewable sources. The Installed capacity for production of renewable energy (in MW) is estimated to be around 0.09108 MW.

Summary of project results
