Description

The main objective of the project is rehabilitation of four buildings, three schools and one cultural home, in order to reduce the energy consumption and decrease CO2 emissions. The buildings are Community center, Oituz school, Lumina Old school and Lumina school. All the buildings are located in Lumina Commune, Constanta County. 
The specific objectives are to reduce the annual consumption of energy in the four public buildings in Lumina commune with 313.69 MW/year and to decrease annual CO2 emissions with 84,64 tonnes per year. The technical solutions for the buildings vary, however all outer walls will be insulated with expanded polystyrene. Other measures to be implemented are modernization of the windows in the Community center and thermal insulation of the attic in all the schools. Key activities of the project include:

  • External consultancy related to the implementation and financial audit.
  • Investments related to the modifications.
  • Project management by internal team.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

The results of the project will have a positive impact on the development of the Lumina Commune on the basis of the savings that will be registered by the reduction of the electricity costs and CO2 emission reduction.
