Description

The main objective of the project is to reduce the energy consumption and decrease CO2 emissions through modernization of the public lighting system in Guibega commune.

Guibega commune plans to decrease the annual consumption of energy in the public lighting from 152,20 MWh/year to 40,48 MWh/year by implemented the proposed project. The solution includes acquiring 529 LED lamps. The project will bring modernization of public lighting network which has a length of 15,87 km and will lead to an energy saving of 73,40% per year.

The green effect of the project will be reflected in the expected decrease of tonnes of CO2/year, from 46 tonnes of CO2/year, value before project implementation, to 12 tonnes of CO2/year, value after the project implementation by replacing the public lighting system with 529 LED lighting lamps. The key activities of the project include:

  • Technical implementation.
  • Investments related to the new lighting system.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

It is expected that the project will determine a positive impact on the development of the Guibega commune on the basis of the savings that will be registered by the reduction of the electricity costs and CO2 emission reduction.
