Description

The main objective of this project is to work on the rehabilitation of the public lighting system with the reduction of energy consumption and CO2 in Dobrun commune. Annual consumption of energy in the public lighting is expected to decrease from 40,11 MWh/year to 19,85 MWh/year by creating a new public lighting system in the area targeted by the project with 345 LED lamps.

The total length of the electric street lighting network included in the project is 14km which includes 11 streets in Dobrun village, 6 streets in Ulmet village, 1 street in Chilii village, 2 streets in Rosienii Mici village and finally 4 streets in Rosienii Mari village.
The consumption resulting from the implementation will be around 19,85 MWh/year. Key activities include:

  • Project management with support from a consultant.
  • Investment related to the technical aspects.
  • Publicity to promote the project.

The results of the project will have a positive impact on the development of the Dobrun commune on the basis of the savings that will be registered by the reduction of the electricity costs, energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

Summary of project results

Through this project, the existing luminaries'' bodies have been replaced with 345 efficient luminaries with Lighting Emitting Diode in 5 villages of Dobrun Commune.

The outcomes of the project have been met: 

- Reduction of energy consumption by 20.25 MWh. 

- CO2 equivalent emission reduction per year: 6.20 tonnes.
